Meet your 2016 Men In Nursing Director, Jayson Cody!

Jayson is presently working concurrently towards both, an ADN at Hartnell College and BSN at California State University of Monterey Bay (CSUMB). His leadership experiece includes being a President for the CSUMB and Hartnell College's Veterans Club and Executive Board Member for the Lemoore's Police Officer Association. As the newly appointed Director of Men In Nursing and active mentor for the HCSNA Mentorship Program, Jayson plans to empower other men in their nursing education and advocating for improved patient care.

Prior to pursing a nursing education at Hartnell College and CSUMB, Jayson served as an infantryman for the United States Marine Corps, graduated from College of the Sequoias Basic Pease Officer Academy and became a police officer for the city of Lemoore.

"My goal is to become a nurse leader that influences the creation of improved public health policies and advocate for disabled veterans in our Monterey Peninsula."

inter-professional collaboration, research and camaraderie; to promote the nursing professions need of male nursing providers; and encourage multicultural interest to future males in nursing.
